This red wine from Argentina is gorgeous eaten with pan fried steak and chips. I am including it in my blog because at £7.99 it is great value for money and I said I would review it in my video post last week. It has a gorgeous ruby colour with juicy damson and unripe red berries on the palate. Without food, it is too acidic for my taste but with steak and homemade chips it is silky smooth, you won’t be able to resist a second glass. I would not recommend this wine with any other food, only steak and chips. I have tried it with roasted vegetables, lamb kebabs marinated in cumin, paprika and coriander, fresh tomato sauce and pasta, vegetable lasagna (without tomatoes but with a cheese sauce) and grilled mushrooms, red onion and red peppers. It does not match any of them. The fact that food can change the taste of wine so dramatically is so fascinating to me. I bought it from Majestic Wine Poole. Click here to buy this wine!
